Welcome to the AIRLab site!

The Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Lab is the home of AI, Robotics and Artificial Vision research at the Department of Electronics and Information (DEI) of the Politecnico di Milano.

AIRLab supports the research activities in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Artificial Vision at DEI, and also the teaching activities for the courses in the area: Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Engineering, Robotics, Advanced Robotics, Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems, Soft Computing, Image analysis and synthesis, Advanced topics of image analysis, Robotics Lab, Artificial Intelligence Lab, Machine Learning techniques for Data Mining, Methodologies for Intelligent Systems.

People belonging to AIRLab are performing high-quality research in their areas since 1971, when the group was established by Marco Somalvico. The group have been awarded the top grade in the 2007 international peer review promoted by Politecnico. We are involved in many national and international projects concerning both basic research funded by public institutions, technology transfer and industrial research.

In addition to that, it includes all the information needed by both present and prospective AIRLab users.
